Restoring Stock Apps
Applying OTA upgrades occasionaly requires you to have original stock applications installed as patches will be applied to them. If the upgrader cannot find the expected files it will fail.
If you’re like me you may have deleted the Amazon MP3 app (com.amazon.mp3.apk) from your device. You’ll need to restore this to the Android 2.2.2 version, which was an absolute pain to find. Fortunately, you can get it from the XDA Forums (thanks, Rusty). You’ll need to place this into the /system/app folder.
